Source : Card Locked error so no holiday snaps.

When transferring my holiday pictures to my Vista PC the process hung up, then the PC re-booted (only after I removed the card and allowed some recovery routine to run). Upon re-boot the card was unreadable on the PC, it simply did not see it. I replaced it in the camera and got "Card Locked" even though the locked tab was not in the locked position. Not too impressed with this at all. I've only had the card 2 months, it was really nice when it worked, fast transfers were great. Not sure what caused the problem, ie PC or card, but I've lost some nice wilderness shots/footage.

Source : Lots of capacity

You will need this much capacity if you want to take lots of pictures with your DSLR camera.Source : Works well with Canon Power Shot SD1100

I bought this card for my Canon Powershot SD1100 since the memory card included with the camera only holds less than 32 MB. THIS 8GB baby holds 3000+ pictures with the image quality set to the highest. If you set the image quality to one of the medium settings on the camera (still good quality), it can hold 5000~9999+ depending on which setting its on.

One note though is that when I check the space on my Canon, Windows, and my Mac, it reports the capacity as only 7.5 GB, not 8GB. I'm not sure if this is just because they can't read past 7.5 GB or if the card really only have 7.5 GB, but its still a TON of space so I'm not complaining. Guess they rounded up!Source : Transcend 8GB SDHC

I originally purchased this card for use with a digital SLR. If you take images in RAW format, you know how quickly memory fills up. With an 8GB capacity the less you're swapping cards, the more photos you can take. The downside is a problem with a single card can mean the loss of a day's work. Which is exactly what happened to me. I filled the 8GB card and when I went to review the images the camera told me the card was empty. Luckily I was able to recover the photos using recovery software but the hassle was a bit much. I'll be using the card for something other than photography now. Source : Sofar so good

Have not used this for a long time. It worked fine. One caution in general. For another Nikon camera we had a 4 GB card. The batteries of the camera may have been low when I tried to download photos to laptop and all of a sudden the 4 GB card became useless, giving an error message. Have tried to reformat but did not succeed. So be forewarned. That was a Crucial card.
I received this card in something like just two days.
