I love the Kindle and how easy it is to use----my only problem is that 2 of my favorite authors aren't on Amazon (Danielle Steel and John Grisham). Hopefully they'll be added in the near future!Source : Where are the books?

I received my Kindle Reader as a gift. My family thoughtfully chose this item believing I would be able to carry a
virtual library with me. It works well, besides the ordinary complaints...poorly placed buttons, WhisperNet drains the charge very quickly, etc.

My biggest complaint is, however, the dearth of things to read! Yes, I can download any number of trashy romances or bestsellers, but I can't find my favorite authors ANYWHERE. J.R.R. Tolkien doesn't exist on Kindle. I can find four of five in a series by a favorite mystery author...missing the penultimate (and most crucial to the series) volume...it's maddening.

Amazon says that more titles are being added all the time. I would go further and state that they're only adding new titles. I realize there are many books out there to be entered, but there are many treasured books that haven't made it to Kindle yet.

I can't be the only person to feel this way. My husband ordered the Kindle for Christmas delivery, though I didn't get it for MONTHS after the holiday. It feels the same way waiting for something worth reading.

I'm disappointed in the Kindle overall.

I have owned my Kindle for just under a week and absolutely love it. The Kindle is very easy to use and easy on the eyes as well. I am a fast reader, and the ability to download books directly to the device is fantastic. I was reading my first book in less than a minute. This functionality is great for the commuter. There have been numerous occassions where I completed a book on my train ride in to work, and had nothing for the ride home. With the Kindle I will never be without a book again. Prior to purchasing the Kindle I read reviews complaining about the page button location and the time it takes to load the next page. I have not experienced any time delay with the page load. I can see how the buttons can cause mistakes in hitting keys, but I find that with the use of the cover this rarely happens. The only downside I have found is the cover which comes with the Kindle. The cover doesn't seem very trust worthy, and I had to struggle with the tab to get the unit to stay in place. I have just ordered the M-Edge cover others were happy with. While I would have liked the supplied cover to be more effiecient, it did not suprise me that I needed to purchase an aftermarket cover. The same is typically true when you purchase an Ipod, cell phone, or PDA.

Over all this is a great product, I wish I would have ordered it sooner.Source : The Kindle is the best product I have bought from Amazon!

I have had my Kindle for 2 weeks now. It is by far the best thing I have purchased in a long time. It makes reading easy, and this device allows me to read anywhere I go. I no longer ahve to hide my books at work. I can just prop up the reader by my screen and dive head first into the wonderful books i have downloaded.

I love the fact that I have free access to the internet and can download books that I would like to read. The internet is fast and reiable. Sure I can't go to many sites but I only bought the Kindle to read!

I would highly recomend this device to anyone that loves reading!
